Joomla Problem: Database Error?

I installed joomla on localhost. Now I can’t access it because I changed the database name.
I went to Site –> Global configuration –> server and I change the database name to something else. Now I get this message everytime I try to open the localhost/xxxxx/administrator menu:
Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to database.
How do I get it back?

the database is usually saved in the original pc where you installed it. you should at least made a backup database dump for it.
however, if you already installed a new and has identified a new database name, you’ll have to change the database name in the configuration.php. But this is oftentimes results in more errors than none.
you can made a database backup from its original pc by exporting it to an sql file, then, import it in your newly created joomla. this can be done in phpMyadmin. select your database and click Import and browse the slq file you created.
if this is impossible, you’ll have start all over again with your database entries.
